School Equipment and Software
s you may already know, VA Beach schools no longer use books. Instead, the school provides each student with a personal Chromebook that they will keep for their entire time in that school. The student also gets a personal account monitored by the school (the school administration has access to browser history).
Canvas
Each class uses many different online resources to make classes more interactive and improve the learning experience. However, all classes in VB High schools use a platform called Canvas. This is where all the teachers post the lesson materials and announcements.
StudentVue / ParentVue
The students and legal guardians also need to be able to track grades, absences, daily and semester schedules, and course history. The app used for those and many other functions is StudentVue for students and ParentVue for parents. To log in as a student you need to insert your account number and your password. Parents get their own username and password.
Downloading Canvas and StudentVue on your phone can be very helpful as it will let you check your grades and any upcoming assignments with more ease.
