VA Beach High Schools / Academies
VA Beach has many different High Schools you go to according where you live. The whole city is divided into school zones that determine which one you will attend. In the US, each High School receives a rating and national ranking according to different factors. This can be seen in various websites like Niche and US News.
School ranking should be one of the main factors you consider when picking where to live.
Some high schools house special programs or Academies you apply to and must be accepted to attend. If you get into one of these schools, the zone you live in does not matter, and you can attend the high school that houses the program you were accepted to.
Remember that, in most cases, you can only apply to and attend an academy if you are a freshman in high school.
